There is something unique about Kalkan that makes this a very
special place to visit and the perfect place to experience a
little bit of Turkey.
HISTORY OF KALKAN
Kalkan, known as Kalamaki in ancient times is thought to
have been founded 150 - 200 years ago by traders from
the Greek island of Meis or with the Greek name of Castellorizo,
which is a couple of miles away from Kas town. Their success
encouraged other settlers of both Turkish and Greek origin
particularly from Rhodes. In those days all were subject of
the Ottoman empire.

longest beach in the world - fine sand and protected area,
only 15 mins by car. Kalkan beach - pebble beach overlooking
marina. Kalamar beach club is only a short stroll from
Turquoise Villas - facilities include swimming pool, bar, sun
lounges and direct access to the sea.

Nearest airport is Dalaman. Transfer time is 1hr 15 minutes.
